MMA GLoves and MMA Gear You Need

March 23rd, 2010

There are not a lot of choices when it comes to the many kinds of feature of MMA gloves.

Padding can either be for sparring, bag work of competition

Sparring gloves have lots of padding. Sparring gloves have finger slots that you old on to the glove padding with, freeing your fingers to grab with. You may think the extra padding is to protect your hands- incorrect. To protect your sparring partner…

Bag gloves are fantastic for prtecting your hands as they skip accross the rough surface of the bag- It’s really a friction burn. These types of gloves also have a longer wrist wrap that helps support the wrist. The surface of the bags are usually cushioned so you don’t need as much glove padding. You don’t need it.

Competiton gloves usualy need to meet some minimal requirements. The paddin alone need to weight 4-5 ounces. The knuckles are safeguarded therefore too are the backs of the hands. The various fighting leagues have their own standards and their gloves will be the only ones you can use.

Appearance

Throughout the shopping experience, the way a glove looks is among the most crucial features. I have sold lots of gloves and the coolness factor is among the most essential feature. The graphic designs vary from camo to blood- both extremely popular. But still, black glove with a high quality logo graphic stamped onto it sell very good.

Leather or Vinyl

I personally like the leather gloves. You cannot compare the feel of real leather to the cheap vinyl gloves. Vinyl gloves I have found the the sides irritate the shin of t fingers and also cracks with use. They just can’t compare to tough hide. Keep this stuff in your mind in your next mma gloves purchase. What kind of training will you be carrying out? Sparring, training or competition. How critical is the visual appeal? Last but not least, spend a few extra bucks. The cow hide will be much better on your hands as well as last a whole lot longer.

Facts to consider

Before you run out and purchase a pair of MMA Gloves, there are a few points to consider. Just what will you use them for, just how much do you think you’re prepared to shell out and how much will manufacturer mean to you

I suggest to my customers that training gloves need not be high dollar. Why spend a fortune on gloves that will be used-up and sweaty?

Many fighters are into the vanity thing- well at least until once they get smacked in the nose and their eyes well-up with tears. Get beyond the appearance and find a good quality glove!
